BONNIE RUBIN
I am a travel enthusiast who loves visiting new places and relaxing getaways. For many years, my travels were family-focused, but as an empty nester, I can explore more diverse travel destinations.
Although my full-time job in commercial banking requires me to be office-bound, I take off for adventures whenever possible. Some of my vacations are longer explorations, others are weekend getaways. In-between my mini-vacations, I enjoy going to the gym, creating art projects, skiing, playing Mah-Jongg with friends and spending time with family.
Credit card reward programs have always been part of my travel strategy, I was nervous to use the points I had worked so hard to earn, and risk depleting my stash. Now, I have mastered ways to accumulate and leverage points effectively, unlocking once-unattainable travel experiences! I am passionate about points and miles and learning all the tips and tricks to maximizing their value. The ability to get a good deal excites me and understanding award travel comes naturally with my background in finance and banking.
Once my family and friends started seeing how much fun I was having on business class flights and in 5 star hotels, they began to ask me HOW? I am excited to share my passion and my knowledge with you!
Robin SNYDER
I have always loved traveling! When I was in my 20’s, dedicated several summers to backpacking through Europe and Asia. It’s amusing to think about faxing hostels for reservations and using a pay phone to make weekly collect calls to my parents. My how times have changed!
For the past 25 years, I’ve been a consultant, specializing in specifications and contract documents for Architects. This sounds technical (and it is), but I have been fortunate to work on large casino and hotel projects throughout the United States. My background in architecture serves as a big inspiration for my travels. It’s fascinating to see millennia-old structures along with modern engineering marvels.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast and I recently purchased a cute teardrop trailer that serves as my base for exploring National Parks and Monuments. I love sharing information about camping and tips for visiting our great public lands.
Whether I am outdoors hiking, mountain biking or camping, or indoors building LEGOs, my love for travel is always present. Recently, I started traveling internationally again but the days of sleeping in hostels and on train station floors are behind me! Thanks to points and miles I am traveling overseas for almost no cost and expanding the lists of places I am able to visit.
